Speaking

speaking

This part of IELTS is like an oral exam at a university.

But do not stress because the interviewer is usually friendly and calm with you.

The IELTS Speaking Test lasts 11 to 14 minutes and is divided into three parts:

The first part is an introduction, it takes about 4 to 5 minutes,
During which the interviewer introduces himself and asks you to introduce yourself.
He or she will ask you about general topics such as where you live, family, work, education, and personal interests.
The goal is to increase the volunteer’s sense of comfort and reduce stress.

۲. The second part does not take more than 3 to 4 minutes.
You will receive a card containing the topic and the interviewer will ask you to talk about this particular topic.
You have one minute to prepare and you should add key points to your discussion.
Finally you talk for 1 to 2 minutes.

3. The final part of the IELTS Speaking Test is a 4 to 5 minute discussion.
The interviewer asks you to provide more details on the topic.
You discuss abstract issues and ideas.

We recommend that you go into as much detail as you can about speaking at IELTS

Give precise and relevant answers to the questions and avoid short answers.

The interviewer records all your conversations and a copy is sent to the IELTS Center for review.
